Note: If in time, members prefer, we can take turns meeting at each others’ houses instead, but I picked Monday’s as the pub seems to be quieter then. If they get busy and need a table for people who want to eat, then we may need to move to another part of the pub to play our Scrabble games.

ADDITIONAL RULES WE PLAY BY:
If someone has already played a blank tile, and you have that chosen letter on your rack, you can exchange it for the blank, but you must use the blank tile in your same go, and change it to another letter.
Players can look up words they think are or might be allowable words, in the books of ‘official scrabble words’ lists (or its webpage) – at any point in the game, whether it is their turn or not.
Players cannot use anagram/scrabble webpages that find allowable words, from the tiles on your rack.

I set up and ran a Scrabble club where I lived in Oxfordshire, March 2004. It ran monthly, and successfully for just over 20 years.
